Governor General visits Resolute Bay

The Governor General took the time to speak with members of the Canadian Ranger and Junior Canadian Ranger honour guard.

Her Excellency the Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean, Governor General and commander in Chief of Canada is undertaking a trip in the north and is welcomed by Canadian Rangers in Resolute bay, Nunavut, Canada on May 27, 2009.

Their Excellencies, accompanied by their daughter Marie-Éden, will travel to Canada’s North. The visit will take place primarily in Nunavut and end in Nunavik, in Quebec’s Arctic region.

La gouverneure générale s’est entretenue avec des membres de la garde d’honneur composée de Rangers canadiens et de Rangers juniors canadiens.

En compagnie de leur fillette, Marie-Éden, leurs Excellences voyagent dans le Grand Nord du Canada. Ils visiteront surtout le Nunavut et termineront leur périple à Nunavik, dans la région arctique du Québec.
